Leaving Home

What does it feel like to leave your hometown?
Most of my expat friends from Irinjalakuda told me that the images bring back a rush of memories about the childhood and days spent in Irinjalakuda. So came along a series of suggestions about places in Irinjalakuda that are often missed by most of us but are associated with a lot of personal memories. The kind of places that run into our mind as we wave good bye to our family in the airport or while listening to K.J. Yesudas while commuting in New York subway. Some places in the world becomes a part of us and shape us and design us to face life and to have the perception that define us. And hence the idea came in to write a book to communicate this emotion to a wider audience. This time when I leave my hometown I don't think I will be alone but will be cherishing more memories, because the value that they brought into my life is always immense.
